Holterman, the organizations have created Camp PowerUp. The program uses an evidence-based curriculum designed to teach youths 8 to 16 about making healthier food choices and engage them in physical activities. These are important steps in reducing the rate of Type 2 diabetes in children.

The program’s goal is to sustainably improve access to pediatric medicine for youngsters in Vietnam. Since its founding in 2012, the company has focused on breakthroughs in regenerative medicine. Dr. Holterman has also been a pediatric surgeon at OSF HealthCare’s children’s hospital since 2011. He specializes in medical research and surgical care for infants and children.
